The Tar Sands Exploration Station is a mobile, interactive sculpture and museum housed in a 1982 Dodge camper van. The space is host to artwork, models, environmental samples, research and performance about Canadian oil production with a special focus on tar sand- a mixture of sand, clay and a small amount of bitumen, a heavy crude oil.
