Projects > Marking Territory

This photographic series depicts the urine of five female companions and I left in the Arctic tundra. By subjecting the often contested land of the north using the animal, and typically male gesture of marking, this work seeks to question if, and how, notions of land ownership are mediated by gendered understandings of landscape and colonial histories.
